are the original keepers of history. They accrue time, energy, and embody
stability within transition. With reverence for their sacred nature,
Ellen Lynch creates a visual and tactile expression of their stories.
These finely wrought stone quilts connect the viewer to Earth and Spirit.
In making the quilts, the artist first collects and arranges the stones in a manner suggested by their properties. Then, she stitches them to latigo leather panels using sinew and rawhide. She secures the final arrangement in a hand-wrought wooden frame.
Pieces are available for sale at approximately $500 per square foot. Commissions and architectural installations are welcome.
